Header
information
The
block of text that appears at the top of an email
may include a lot of gibberish describing the electronic
delivery path. It also contains handy information
such as the time and date the message was sent,
and alerts you to attachments. The most important
information included in all email headers is the
sender's name and/or email address, the recipient's
name and/or email address, and the subject line.
Write short, descriptive subject lines. Many people
read emails (or not!) based on what the subject
line says. Seven to eight words should be enough
to get your point across and grab your readers'
interest.
