Closing a File

Due to the limited capacity of your computer’s memory, sometimes you may have to close files or worksheets before opening or creating others. If you try to close your worksheet without first saving it, you will be given the option to save it. If the file has already been saved and no changes have been made, your worksheet will be closed immediately. If you have made changes to your existing worksheet since you last saved it, you will be asked if you want to save the changes.

To close your worksheet, follow these steps:

a) Click the File menu.

b) Select the Close option.

c) If you have made changes to your worksheet or if you have not yet saved this worksheet, the following dialogue box will be displayed:

d) If you wish to save your document, answer Yes; if you do not, click the No button.

e) Another option is click the close button of open worksheet.

To practice this command, close your worksheet.
