Creating Borders

Borders divide large worksheets into separate sections to make them easy to read.
Creating Borders and eliminating gridlines, improves the overall appearance the worksheet. It is used extensively for creating invoices, delivery slips, order forms etc. You can create border using one of the following option either Border palette or Format Menu.
Using border palette 
a. Select the range for addition of borders.
b. Clicking on Border Palette located on toolbar gives choice of 12 preset outlines.
c. Clicking on first palette removes borders from all the cells.
Using Format Menu
a. Select Cells from the Format menu.
b. Format cells Dialogue box appears.
c. Select OutLine from the Preset option, choose a color from the color option. and press OK.


¨ To Remove Border
a. Select the range.
b. Press Ctrl + Shift + -( Shift + Minus sign) or choose the No Border tool option from the border toolpalette.
