The format of a range determines the appearance of the numbers within it. For example, to format the range D3 to D5 with currency symbol before them, following steps are followed:
· Select the Range D3 to D5
· Select Cells option from the format menu.
· On Format Cell Dialog Box, select the tab number,
· Select the category “Currency” and select a symbol from Symbol Codes as shown in the following figure.
