Select the cells you want to format and then click the appropriate tool button or select the cells and then from the FORMAT menu choose CELLS — click on FONT tab. 
Let’s see a example : 
· Create a worksheet employee.xls as shown in the figure

· Select the cells A2, B2, C2 and D2.
· Now choose cell from the Format menu, Foramt cell dialog box will appear, select Font tab.

· The normal unit of measurement for Font Size is points. The Default Font in Excel 2000 is Arial 10 point. In the font tab select the font Times New Romen, style as Bold, size as 12, choose the Color red and click OK.
· You will get the following output.
