Fireworks

Font

At the top right hand corner of the dialog box you will find the Font drop down menu. If you {Click} on the arrow at the right hand side of the field you will be given a list of available fonts that you can use to type your text. The range of fonts that you can use in your documents is entirely dependant on the fonts you have installed on your system. If your client wants you to use a distinctive or unique font you must install it in the appropriate folder location for your operating system.

 Font Size

You can adjust the size of your text if you click on the drop down menu adjacent to the Font menu.  Fireworks measures text size in pixels, as this is the measuring unit used for any content published to the web.

Font Color and Style

On the top, right hand side of the Text Editor dialog box you will find controls for adjusting the color and style of your text. The color picker, by default, allows you to choose colors from the web palette. You have the option of selecting from the 24 bit color palette by {Clicking}the Color Picker icon or sample colors from your document by {Clicking}the Eye Dropper Icon.

You can input colors for your text using hexadecimal, HSL, or RGB color units if you wish.

The Text Editor dialog box also has three basic style settings. You can bold your text by {Clicking} on the "B" icon, italicize your text by {Clicking} on the "I" icon, or underline your text by {Clicking} on the "U" icon.
