You can group your objects by selecting them all and {Clicking} on the Group button.  This option, like many others in the Modify Toolbar, can also be accessed through the Modify Menu. You’ll know that your objects are grouped by the type of selection box that appears when you {Click} on them with your Pointer. A grouped selection has an invisible rectangular bounding box with small blue squares at each corner.

If you want to select a Group you must use the Pointer Tool as the Sub selection Tool will only select the individual components of your Group. To Ungroup a Group you simply select it and hit the "Ungroup" button in the Modify Toolbar.
