Creating a Presentation with Template

In the next exercise, you will be asked to create a presentation using the Template option as a help resource. Since you are already in PowerPoint, you are ready to begin creating a new presentation.
There are two ways to create a new presentation:
· By clicking on this shortcut button: 
· Clicking on the File menu, then on the New option.
Then click on the Presentation Designs tab. Either method will cause the following dialogue box to be displayed:

For this exercise, you will choose the Pulse.pot design. Click on the icon (you will then see a preview of the design to the right of the list), then click ok.
In the next window, you are asked to choose an Auto layout for your first slide. For now, simply click on OK (This chooses the Title Slide layout by default). We will discuss this procedure in the next section.
You will then see an empty slide, containing two text areas to be filled. The two titles already present will not be displayed during an actual presentation: they serve as guidelines to show us what we must do. Your first slide should look like this:
