| File
or folder that shortcut refers to cannot be found |
| |
|
This
error message appears when the shortcut is available,
but the program it calls is missing. A shortcut
is a link that points to another file. It works
like a television remote control. Try to use the
remote control (shortcut) to a television (program)
that has been moved to a different room – or even
thrown in the garbage!

How
do I correct the error?
|
| |
|
If
the program or file the shortcut links to is still
on the computer, Windows suggests possible matches
and offers the opportunity to search for it.
|
| |
|
1. Click
"Browse" to search for the file.
|
| |
|
2. Click
"Yes" if you see a message suggesting a match that
fits.
|
| |
|
3. Click
"No" if the match found by the computer is incorrect.
(Did somebody throw away your
television?)
