Programs
and files can be loaded (started or opened) from
within Windows Explorer.

How
do I load programs from within Windows Explorer?
|
|
|
|
Load
a file or program based on its file extension:
|
|
|
|
1. Click
the "View" menu, and then "Folder Options" (Windows
98) or "Options" (Windows
95).
|
|
2. Click
the "File Types" tab.
|
|
3. Click
"New Type" to create a new extension and specify
which program to be used
to open the file.
|
|
4. Click
"OK."
|
|
5. Double-click
a file with the specified extension to open it in
the designated program.
(For example, a file name with extension "BMP" opens
with Microsoft Paint.)

6. Double-click
a program to start it.
|
|
|
