Moving within a Document

You can move from place to place in a document by using the mouse or the keyboard.

It is faster to use the mouse to move within a document and is easier than memorizing key combinations. Here are the ways to move around a document by using the mouse:

Type of move

Procedure

To a specific character

Move the cursor that looks like an I to the desired location and click on the left button of the mouse.

Line by line

Click on the top or bottom arrow on the vertical scroll bar.

Screen by screen

Click above or below the square located between the top and bottom arrows on the vertical scroll bar.

Specific location

Move the square on the vertical scroll bar to the desired location.


The next table lists the different key combinations you can use to move within a document:
